+ WHAT SHOULD BE IN MY RESUME/CV?
We don't really care which format you choose, but the content must meet our minimum standards (see below).
Essentially your resume/CV should be a detailed account of your employment history which highlights your professional strengths (skills). Of course, personal contact information and referee contact details are included. Any information about yourself is helpful, but as long as it's pertinent!!

We don't want you to waste your time, and so below we've listed what we don't want to know. Sorry about the "don'ts", but they'll save you a ton of typing!

+ INCLUSION ON THE TRANS DATABASE
We don't discriminate against persons for inclusion on the database. We have an "open door" policy, but who is and isn't selected for interviews or for nomination etc is determined by the employer, unless directed otherwise by the employer.
If you provide us with permission to supply an employer with your details, we then have no further role in the evaluation of your credentials.
+ GO ELECTRONIC!
Use a computer to compose your CV and try to register with us via the site instead of by fax or standard post (engage a friend to help out if you don't have access to any of this stuff). Why? Because when we travel we have your details stored electronically and need to access the information if we receive a request to assist an employer whilst we're in transit.
All is not lost if you can't do this, however, but the processing of your registration will take longer as the documents will need to be scanned, and we only do this, on average, once a month.
+ INCLUDE YOUR REFEREES
Don't forget to include your referee contact details - or include their details during the online registration process.
+ TOP TIP! HOW TO NEVER LOSE YOUR RESUME/CV
We get lots of requests from candidates asking us to send a copy of their resume/CV because they've lost theirs! Whilst we're happy to do so, it's much easier to do yourself. Consider storing your documents with a cloud service (Drive, Dropbox or Skydrive, for exampe) or send a copy of your documents to your web-based email account (ie: Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail).. Easy!
